Launch Night Series Social Inclusion Youth Program
Want to build real-world youth work skills, connect with community, and support young people to thrive in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment? Join the Rite 2 Rise crew and make a difference. You'll support the Launch Night Series across four Saturday nights each term. Duties include setting up, welcoming young people, running games and group activities, supporting youth coaches, and helping to create a culturally safe, engaging space.
YLab Co-Design Workshop: Youth Social Media Intervention
YLab has been funded through Our Watch's Violence Prevention Innovation Lab to co-design a youth-led and community-driven social media intervention encouraging young men and boys to reject harmful gender norms. We're inviting up to 10 young people aged 16-25 across Australia to help shape the final product through four Zoom workshops. We encourage applications from young people of any gender — we're all partners in violence prevention.

Charles Darwin University's free Tax Clinic offers free tax help to individuals, small businesses and not-for-profits. Free, confidential and independent. A great free option for young people doing their first tax return or young entrepreneurs getting their side hustle in order. Bookings essential.
Rights on Show 2026 — 'See My Ability' Art Competition
Rights on Show is back for 2026 and entries are now open! This year's theme is 'SEE MY ABILITY' — see beyond limits, see the talent, see the person. Artists are invited to explore human rights, inclusion, identity and equality through their art. Open to artists of all abilities; a great platform for young creative voices.
NT Performing Arts Awards — Young Achiever Award (18-25)
Nominations are now open for the 2026 NT Performing Arts Awards Young Achiever Award, celebrating a young artist aged 18-25 who has made a significant contribution to the performing arts in the Northern Territory. Know a young performer making waves? Nominate them — or yourself.
City of Palmerston Australia Day Awards 2027 — Nominations Open
Nominations are now open for the 2027 City of Palmerston Australia Day Awards. Think about the volunteers, mentors, community leaders, young people and local groups who make Palmerston proud — and nominate them. Categories include Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Group of the Year.

Kookaburra Kids is seeking volunteers aged 18+ for long-term engagement supporting children and young people aged 8-18 impacted by mental health challenges or family mental illness experiences. Volunteers attend camps and programs supporting young people — a great pathway if you're studying youth work, psychology or social work.

2027 Chief Minister's Study Tour — Okinawa, Japan
The Chief Minister's Study Tour gives NT Year 9 students the chance to travel during Year 10 to Okinawa, Japan, exploring the NT's shared wartime history with Japan. A once-in-a-school-career overseas study experience covering history, international friendship and leadership.
Colour Hunting NT — Mental Health Week Photo Competition
For Mental Health Week, MIFANT is running Colour Hunting NT — a free photo competition open to anyone living in the NT. Pick a colour, find it in four places around you, photograph each one and send the four photos in. Works as an individual activity or with friends — a fun, creative wellbeing activity for Mental Health Week (October).

ABC Heywire Storytelling Competition
Heywire is the ABC's lived experience storytelling competition for young people aged 16-22 living in regional, rural or remote Australia. Tell a true story about an aspect of your life in words, audio or video. Winners are invited to the Heywire Summit in Canberra and their stories are featured on the ABC.
